Festivals:
Unusally there are no fiestas held in August but the
local Town Councils hold live concerts and cultural
events for tourists and residents to enjoy. The concerts
are normally held in the Aiguera Park auditoriums.
Terra
Mitica: More than 25 rides, numerous shows, excellent
shops and fabulous restaurants... for Full-On Family
Fun.
Benidorm
Outdoor Market: Located in the town centre. It
is open on Sundays and one Saturday a month.
Theme
Parks: Mundomar and Aqualandia, both parks offer
a variety of attractions especially if you are on holiday
with children. Terra Mitica is Spains best Theme Park
and located just 4kms from the center of Benidorm.
Tourism:
Benidorm has been a tourist destination for many
years and has learnt to cater for the needs of the tourists
it relies on.
Beaches:
Benidorms two main beaches are called Levante and Poniente.
San
Jaime Church: San Jaime Church was erected in
the 18th century, its bluish domes rise among an intricate
network of narrow streets and alleyways, filled with
picturesque little corners.
Nature:
Protected by three mountain ranges, the eastern
range of Sierra Helada, the northern range of Aitana
and the western range of Tossal de la Cala. This gives
the City a protection from the winds and allows you
to enjoy the extremely pleasent all year round.
Local
cuisine: Seafood and
rice dishes are the basis of the local gastronomy. Paella
is one of the emblematic dishes, as is seafood, grilled
or boiled, and fish, fried, stewed, or in soup. Garlic
and olive oil are the main ingredients of ali-oli sauce,
which accompanies many dishes.
